Lori Dennis – M.A. Psychotherapist, writer, on-air personality and YRR’s “go-to” therapist
Lori Dennis is a Psychotherapist and Relationship Expert with a full-time private practice in mid-town Toronto. Through her practice, she counsels adults, teens, couples and families, helping them deal with a wide range of issues from depression, anxiety, anger, ADD/ADHD, eating disorders, relationship issues, grieving and loss, trauma and self-esteem. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, Toronto/Chicago, and is a member of The Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP).
In her practice, she uses an eclectic range of therapeutic approaches including family of origin work, inner child healing, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, adlerian psychotherapy and more.
She has made many TV appearances on Three Takes (Slice Network), Style by Jury (Women’s Television Network), and Steven and Chris (CBC) and Global TV. She speaks on a variety of topics including Self-Image, Flirting, Healthy Couples, Mother/Daughters-In-Law, Mama’s Boys, Divorce, and Orthorexia.
She has been interviewed for Flare Magazine on topics such as Narcissism, Depression, and ‘Seasonal Disorders’, the dangers of Infidelity for City Life Magazine, and has written for such publications as Profit Magazine, The Bay Street Bull and The Post Newspapers. Lori has held workshops for teens on self-esteem and the empty nest syndrome for women.
